Where the point becomes invalid is that people will well know, be they ferry or passeger, that this is an intentional abuse of a glitch. While it has not the direct gain level as the other 2 recent events, it falls into the same category of abusing the TOS as did duping and getting stuff into pre-searing. This is not an intended feature or a Xmas present as someone else aluded to.

On the same note - the consequences should not be as severe as those handed out for the other 2 activities, but there should be some consequences if it can be traced.
I really don't see what this harms...

It is not like it is a challenge to get anywhere in the game. It just takes time, sometimes days. So really, if someone wants to get there, then they can anyway, it just takes awhile.

Do you lose out on your FoW runs if someone gets to the Bone Palace in 30 seconds instead of 2 hours?

Does anyone die in HoH because someone skipped from Kaineng to Cavalon?

Does it have any impact on how much items cost?

It doesn't effect anything. The only difference is that instead of spending 2 hours playing to get somewhere, they spent 30 seconds getting there. The only thing lost is the "enjoyment" that they would have got from fighting their way there. Which if they want to lose out on that...who cares?

For example....I absolutely hate the mid-level places in NF. The Kournan area, Crossroads mission, Pogahn Passage...hate them. Not that they are hard, they are piss easy. The thing I don't like about them is that they are BOOOOORRRING. So is it really that big of harm if I skipped from Consulate Docks to Kodash? What does anyone lose? I lose wasted time that I wouldn't have enjoyed...and that is about all that is lost. I might miss out on an exciting plot twist that is somehow different than the other 8 times I have played through?

Also, I see nothing wrong with this. ANet should just make it a feature. There are missions I'd love to do with some characters, and the people there would probably enjoy the help, but playing through the crud to get there is just boring.

if you really wanted a legitimate way of zoning without being there before, petition anet for a 'unlock all zones' pack or something.

Not a problem?

Imagine this scenario:

Create character >> Pay some money to ferry guy >> Zone to Lugardis Conservatory >> Pay for HFF >> Days later, Legendary Survivor

Fair?

Ok...or they could just stand WAY back and have guildies and/or friends play through the missions to get them there. That is not fair either.

My bad man. I meant the person who posted a player's name in the post right before mine. I saw that you blocked it in your screenshots.

Getting guildies and friends to play through mission to get them there is very much different from click, click, click ... THERE.

Time, effort and risk of dying is very much 2 world apart.

If the glitch isn't corrected, very soon, legendary survivor can be renamed as Legendary Hffer.

The idea of being able to warp anywhere is great. I mean, i already wanted this function back in prophecies. Thats why we got people to do forge run right? (Droknar Forge)

But being able to do so immediately after you created a character just don't seem correct.

Not fair. Besides the fact that this title is mostly grind anyways.

It just seems ANet does not deem this too critical.

Or they could roll a non-Factions character, get to lvl 10, go to GW:EN get the Adventurer of the North buff and Frontis-pummel their way to Legendary Survivor.

I've got a lvl 10 rit (he was lvl 7 but I blew through a couple of missions earlier), and I really don't get why Arena.net have given Nightfall and Prophecies characters a hilariously easy way to get to LS via the Asura Gates in LA and Kamadan but have left Factions characters unable to get off the Island until they've finished the primary quests/missions. All it does is tempt me to pay for a run, I've got 9 lvl 20s and I get a bit bored with grinding through noob islands over and over again.

If I'm wrong about the above, please do correct me.

Make it that it works when ur character reaches lvl 20 or something, because this and armor becoming tradable are two things I wanted to happen in this game for a long time.

Tradable armor?

hehe, if it really do happen, i m gonna keep my obs armor in storage, delete my character, recreate and make the legendary survivor, and trade back the obs armor

Titles are most nearly meaningless, minus a few, anymore. The issue is not about having a shortcut / easy way to a title, it's about people making gold out of the glitch.

To above post, can you go to guild hall from the starter area? That should answer your question, yes or no.

be very specific. whoever is using this glitch now has to be banned. i'm fed up with dishonest ppl getting advantages over honest players.
a.net has been generous last time, noone has been banned when they first found about about this exploit. now that ppl KNOW it's an exploit and they are still abusing it, a BAN is needed for the safety of this game.
People have to know that exploiting = ban, else anyone will start abusing bugs when they come.

So how has this exploit negatively impacted you?

an unhealthy gaming world affects negatively all the player base. it helps spreading the exploit-abusing attitude.
now, even if this exploit is not particulary dangerous or economy-damaging, someone needs to stand very clearly that exploit abusers are not tolerated in any way, or ppl will start mass-exploiting bugs (way worse then this one) considering themselves ban-proof.

This certainly helps more than it doesn't. If people didn't have to charge that'd be great.

Also Zeek I've been in two towns were people were talking about it already.
